'A Century of War - Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order'
With his book A Century of WarAnglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order F. William Engdahl has managed to produce a realistic new evaluation of the history of the 20th century. His precise research work thoroughly illuminates the various threads of world politics and he comes to the conclusion that the struggle for raw materials, above all crude oil, has greatly determined the course of history. The historical parallels of the present situation on the eve of a possible war with the Second or even First World War are horrifying. Of course the forces at work here are not identical with those 60 or 70 years ago, but the aims are similar in many aspects. There has been increasing influence of so-called neo-conservatives on politics in the USA, and it is these people who have a decisive say in US military matters.
