School Subject Gay

by Josefine Barthel, Germany

In Berlin, primary school pupils are supposed to learn that the traditional family is obsolete and that you can determine your own sex at will. Homosexuality is practiced  by role-playing.

A suitcase is packed. But not for the school holidays to travel to a sunny, perfect world. This suitcase is packed at the end of this holiday. It is designed for primary schools in Berlin for the beginning of the school year. It does not lead the children on to flowering meadows to look at

“Wolkenkuckucksschlösser” (daydreams), lying in the grass while the birds are twittering. The suitcase leads into the abyss of adult sexuality and even the adults themselves are not really able to cope with this abyss or like to see themselves in it – nor to be seen in it.

The “media kit” created by the so-called “Queer Education Initiative” on behalf of the red-red Berlin Senate administration, contains 25 books and a memory game. It tries to give a “more varied picture of the family”. To this end the “antiquated notion” of the traditional family has to be dismantled and ridiculed at first. In one of the books in the trunk this reads as follows: “A long, long time ago most families described in books looked like this: a dad, a mom, a little boy, a little girl.” Aha. So that was a long, long time ago and is no more? Or is it wishful thinking – that the family shall no longer be this way?

A picture book from the suitcase disguises as a very cute story. In the diction of the Grimm brothers, it tells the story of prince royal, who is to be married. A princess is searched to this end. But none of the princesses appeals to the crown prince. The various candidates present themselves – in vain. He does not like the one from Texas, from Greenland, from India. Then Princess Liebegunde (Lovely) approaches the prince. It does no good either. Finally, the heir to the throne falls in love with Lovely’s brother, the Prince of Glory. A splendid wedding is celebrated. King and King govern the country in unison.

The message: Heterosexuality is out, but that the high nobility keeps to themselves – is still in. In contrast to this “Cinderella” is a progressive story.
In another book the first-graders are told how reproduction works with same-sex couples: “Since two women cannot have children, they ask Stefan.

Stefan is gay.” Then of course artificial insemination is addressed and, needless to say, the children have to become acquainted with it as well. “The doctor put his (Stefan’s) spermatic in mummy’s tummy.” The press keeps praising the child-oriented language. Wonderful! Whether the contents are suitable for children, however, needn’t be discussed. It does not matter whether the children are overstrained or may not want to know about all that. It is on purpose that the children are made to wonder about “what it is like when you do not really know whether you are male or female. As teenagers, they may take a conscious decision for their sexual identity in the same way as they can choose a religion”, says Conny Kempe Schälicke of the Senate Administration for Science, Education and Research, who has initiated the suitcase.

The trans- and homosexualization of the Berlin primary school pupils is a new project. Handouts on “lesbian and gay lifestyles”, however, have already been in effect since the year 2006. They apply inter-disciplinarily in biology, ethics, history/social studies, English, German and even Latin from the 5th grade onwards. Information materials are provided and assistance in networking with the local gay scene is offered. “Representatives” of lesbian and gay projects are to be invited, film events and project weeks are to be arranged in schools. In lessons, children should mime an orgasm or masturbation, in front of the whole class, of course. Upper secondary school students are supposed to act out the concepts “sado-masochistic” and “dark room”. Sketches are about a “coming out” – at dinner the young person must confess his homosexuality to the whole family.

Even for the kindergarten children a media kit is already being planned. Berlin is a pioneer, Northrhine-Westphalia is to follow suit. The campaign gave itself the charming slogan “School of Diversity” and wants to question the traditional family structure as well as male-female sexuality as a social norm. Gender mainstreaming is the magic word for this re-orientation which is difficult to describe. It means that one’s natural sex has nothing to do with one’s social gender – and that the latter can be changed at will. The coordinating and control centre of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Gender mainstreaming is located in the Federal Ministry of Families; here the strategists of this ideology are working. Its “scientific” flagship is the Competence Centre for Gender at the Humboldt University in Berlin which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family affairs.

All sorts of brochures and educational materials come into being in fruitful cooperation. One of the masterpieces of education policy is the song book “Nose, belly and buttocks” for kindergarten. Want a taste? “[...] We have a vagina, because we’re girls. She’s here under the belly, between my legs. It is not only there to pee, and when I touch it, yes, yes, it tickles finely. You can say ‘No’, you can say ‘Yes’. You can say ‘Stop’ or ‘Once again the same’, ‘I don’t like it’, ‘I really like it’, ‘Oho, go on with it’.”

A guide for parents on sex education from year one to three instructs the parents to tickle, to stroke and to caress their child when cleaning between the legs, and it laments on page 27: “Vagina and especially clitoris experience little attention by naming and tender touch (neither by the father nor the mother) and that makes it difficult for girls to develop pride in their sexuality.” On page 13 we learn that it would be especially beneficial if fathers, uncle’s, grandmothers or nannies would read this brochure and feel concerned. Well, if the good uncle did so, and the child that was pleased this way tells about his uncle´s attention in kindergarten, the good uncle will have a serious problem, soon.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that the European Union gives support to creating the new man. When the European Parliament passed the decision number B6-0025/2006 of 18 January 2006, it set itself  the goal to weed out homophobia that is to weed out the rejection of same-sex relationships. Already the term “homophobia” implies a morbid mental disorder requiring therapy and the words “weed out” suggest that the campaign will break every resistance with repression and violence if necessary.

The Nazis and Communists of the 20th century implemented their fascist ideologies in an open, brutal way. All those “You are-nothing-the-XYZ-is-all-ideologies” always want to create the “new man” which always requires the elimination of those who do not go along. At some point, however, people may no longer be intimidated. If the suffering is too great, if they have nothing left to lose, they will revolt and there will be no fear of death.

They learned something new: The re-education towards the new man is coming soft-footed and is made palatable with clever appeals. Why suppress people’s needs and starve them? It will merely lead to insurrection. Do the opposite: Satisfy every need, keep the people busy with their desires and their greed, drive them crazy so that they no longer know whether they are male or female. Do not let them come to think, give them colorful, flashing toys and enough to eat.

Fill their minds with propaganda and stupid entertainment. They will be grateful slaves. •

Petition Against the Sexualization of Elementary Schools

Reprehensible political game of hide and seek

The school curricula and teaching materials for sex education classes at elementary schools will be developed at the “Competence Centre Sex Education and School” affiliated to the Teacher Training College Central Switzerland (PHZ) in Lucerne. The curricula and materials shall become mandatory with the Curriculum 21 in all of Switzerland.

PHZ virtually gave itself the order to establish this “Competence Centre” in the strangest and totally undemocratic manner: officials of the Swiss Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) located at the “House of the Cantons” in Berne declared sex education to be an “overall task” without the knowledge of the cantonal ministers of education. Without an order given by the cantonal ministers of education, acting on their won authority they obtained  the consent representatives of the Bundesamt für Gesundheit (BAG, Federal Office of Public Health) to finance the “Competence Centre” from the federal budget (1.343 million francs until now). The “Competence Centre” took up its work – without a Canton having decided on the financial means or having commissioned it.

The maneuver has been initiated in a very cunning way. The BAG grants the funding in the context of “AIDS information”. On this basis, the officials of both offices (again, completely unauthorized) explained their sex education classes as mandatory – not allowing any objection by parents. They are supported by “Eidgenössische Kommission für Kinder und Jugend, EKKJ” and various NGOs for “sexual counseling” and “education”, working closely together in networks such as “Education and Health Network Switzerland” and “Swiss Coordination Conference on Education for Sustainable Development” (SKBNE).

Petition text

Five demands addressed to the Directors of Education of all cantons as well as to the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Directors of Education

The signatories of this petition request the following:

1)    Cantonal Directors of Education must again assume full responsibility for the development and organization of sexual education at public schools!
All decisions taken to establish and design age-appropriate sexual education at elementary schools must be submitted to the responsibility of the cantonal directors of education who have been elected by the people. Solely the cantonal parliaments are authorized to grant the funding that might be needed for sexual education or for institutions for sexual education, e.g. “competence centres”.

2)    No obligatory sexual education!
Since sexual education of their own children is a basic task of parents, sexual education must not be obligatory. Parents must have the right to have their children exempted from clearly defined and contained sexual education at any time and without any further explanation.

3)    No stimulation of sex games and practices in sexual education!
Instruction material and programs must not contain any stimuli to do sex games or to try out special sex practices.

4)    No pornography in sexual education lessons!
Instruction material for sexual education at elementary schools must neither contain any pornographic imagery nor any detailed “descriptions” of sexual procedures. It must be prevented by all means that pedophiles might be tempted by such depictions to choose the teaching profession.

5)    No influencing of the sexual orientation in sexual education lessons!
In lessons of sexual education children must not be influenced with respect to their sexual orientation.

The petition can be ordered at “Petition gegen die Sexualisierung  der Volksschule”, Postfach 23, CH-8416 Flaach, Phone +41 52 301 31 00, Fax +41 52 301 31 03
